Here are some “behind the scenes” tidbits concerning my new reel intro thing… I found this metal lazy susan thing at lowe’s for $2.30 and couldn’t resist. I ended up drilling some wood to it (you can’t really see how it’s put together in this pic though) and attaching a circular piece of posterboard to the top to make the seams less noticeable when...

So apparently, “Story from North America” aka the spider song has generated some controversial buzz in the forums…which makes me giggle. I am always amused when I find people interpreting the work so literally and taking the “message” so seriously when it’s meant as a comedic, lighthearted piece. Then I made a lil quicky test for fun.  I tried doing a rotoscoping test, but gave up halfway through.  Don’t pay attention to the sloppy keying…and super sloppy animation.  This whole test was really to try out the “skin” I used on the puppet which ended up failing.  It’s this sculpey mold builder stuff, but it’s not pliable enough. Oh well, gave it a shot!
